AI Voice

AI Voice allows you to communicate verbally with your phone.

To operate hands-free on your phone, wake up AI Voice and give a voice command.

Press power button to wake up AI Voice

You can wake up AI Voice in power button:

  1. Go to Settings > Assistant > AI Voice > Wake with Power button, and enable Wake with Power button.

  2. Press and hold the Power button for 1 second to wake up AI Voice.

Say the wakeup phrase to wake up AI Voice

You can wake up AI Voice in Voice wakeup:

  1. Go to Settings > Assistant > AI Voice > Voice wakeup, enable Voice wakeup, and follow the onscreen instructions to record your wakeup phrase.

  2. When you need to wake up AI Voice, say the wakeup phrase.

 

  • The settings items vary by device. If your phone does not provide a specific item, it indicates that the corresponding feature is not supported.

  • You cannot wake up AI Voice with the wakeup phrase when your phone is in a call.

  • You cannot wake up AI Voice with the wakeup phrase either if you are making an audio or screen recording (with microphone enabled). In this case, you can press and hold the Power button to wake up AI Voice.

  • This feature is only available in some countries and regions.

Wake AI Voice with headset control

If you have a headset with controls to match your phone, you can use the Wired control to wake AI Voice.

  1. Go to Settings > Assistant > AI Voice, turn on the switch for Wired control.

  2. If you need to wake AI Voice, press and hold the Play button on the headset to wake AI Voice.

Wake AI Voice by Bluetooth device

If your phone is connected to a Bluetooth device, you can use Wake with Bluetooth devices to wake AI Voice.

  1. Go to Settings > Assistant > AI Voice > Wake with Bluetooth devices and turn on Wake with Bluetooth devices.

  2. This allows you to wake the AI Voice of your phone by the Bluetooth device.

Communicate with AI Voice

AI Voice can be in one of the following three modes: Idle, Listening, and Thinking. You can talk to AI Voice when it is in the Listening mode.

  • Idle mode: AI Voice doesn't pick up any sound in this mode.

  • Listening mode: You can talk to AI Voice as it can listen to you in this mode.

  • Thinking mode: AI Voice can start to execute your voice commands.

Chat with AI Voice

AI Voice can be set up to engage in continuous conversations with you, so you do not need to wake it up before each conversation.

  1. Go to Settings > Assistant > AI Voice > Experimental features > Continuous conversation , and enable Continuous conversation.

  2. Wake up AI Voice to start a conversation with a voice command such as "Chayixia jintian Shenzhen de tianqi" ("Check the weather in Shenzhen today"). After AI Voice broadcasts the weather, you can continue by saying "Tixing wo xiawu qu chaoshi gouwu" ("Remind me to go to the supermarket this afternoon.").

    AI Voice will end the conversation when no command is received from you after a certain period of time, or when you say "Tuichu" ("Exit conversation").

In some scenarios, such as when the speaker and microphone are occupied, you will not be able to engage in continuous conversations.

Chat with AI Voice in dialect

AI Voice supports Dialect. You can switch to Dialect with the following two methods:

Manual switch:

  1. Go to Settings > Assistant > AI Voice > Experimental features > Dialect .

  2. Check dialects supported on the Dialect screen and click to select a dialect.

Voice switch:

Wake up AI Voice and say commands such as "Chat in Sichuan dialect", "Chat in Henan dialect". AI Voice will switch to the dialect in real-time.

Not all regions support Dialect, please refer to your product.

Ask your phone to tell you where it is

Can't find nearby phone? AI Voice can help.

  1. Go to Settings > Assistant > AI Voice > Voice wakeup, then enable Voice wakeup. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your wakeup voice command.

  2. To find you phone, say the wakeup word loudly followed by the command "Where are you". Your phone will answer "I am here", light up the screen, and play a ringtone to help you locate it.

 

  • AI Voice may not wake up if the phone is too far away or your voice is too low.

  • AI Voice may not wake up if the phone is on a call.

  • AI Voice may not wake up if the phone is in recording or in screen recording with the microphone enabled.
